'Constructive' Negotiations with Little Hope for Peace
The U.S. is still determined to continue mediation to resolve issues between Ukraine and Russia.
Last weekend, marked by shuttle diplomacy to Miami, Ukraine and Russia entered a precarious phase of their indirect negotiations, as US and European foreign policy efforts to broker peace clashed with Moscow’s unyielding war ambitions. This obstacle upsets the Trump administration, so it massages the idea of escalating or quitting, while admitting that this war can’t be resolved anytime soon.
